We are seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner for a 60‑day locum tenens assignment with our client in Louisiana. This opportunity begins on Oct 20, 2025, and features an outpatient primary care schedule, Monday through Thursday from 9 am to 4:30 pm, and Friday from 9 am to 12 pm. The ideal candidate will serve as the sole provider in an outpatient setting and must have a current Collaborative Practice Agreement on file with the Louisiana Board.

Responsibilities and Duties

Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care as the sole provider

Conduct patient assessments, develop and implement treatment plans

Manage acute and chronic health conditions for a diverse patient population

Prescribe medications and manage refills in accordance with state and federal guidelines

Document all patient encounters and care plans accurately and timely

Collaborate as needed with ancillary staff to ensure high‑quality patient care

Adhere to all clinical protocols, regulatory requirements, and safety standards

Additional Information

Must have a current Collaborative Practice Agreement (CPA) on file with the Louisiana Board

Board certification in Family Medicine required

Outpatient primary care experience as a sole provider is essential

Basic Life Support (BLS) and DEA certification required

IHS experience is a plus

Louisiana state licensure required
