Overview
RAYUS Radiology is looking for a CT Technologist to join our team. This position is part-time, working Sunday 8a-4:30p. We operate to deliver radiology as a critical first step in diagnosis and treatment, with a patient-centered approach and excellent customer service. As a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist, you will operate assigned scanner(s) to produce diagnostic images. You will guide patients through the procedures, answer questions, and provide support throughout the exam process. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
(90%) Patient CT Imaging Screens patients before exams for precautions or contradictions using two identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure. Explains and prepares patients for scanning, positions patients appropriately for imaging. Performs routine and advanced scanning procedures for designated body parts with minimal supervision, while engaging with patients during the procedure. Adjusts scanning parameters as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate. Follows physicians\' orders, complies with safety regulations, and maintains patient records in the Radiology Information System (RIS). Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements. Maintains an orderly and clean work area, promoting safety for patients and co-workers. (5%) Scanning Department Support Assists with updating imaging protocol manuals and software upgrades. Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary. Assists with training of new associates, providing resource and technical expertise as applicable. (5%) Completes other tasks as assigned Minimum Qualifications
ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing. Graduate of an AMA-approved school of radiography. Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification. Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform scanning procedures independently. CT certification.
