Mercy Hospital Southwest is a 78-bed facility and the only hospital located in the rapidly growing area west of Highway 99. Responsibilities
The Nurse Shift Manager (NSM) is a Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for overseeing patient care and administrative activities in their respective department(s)/unit(s). The NSM continually evaluates the quality and effectiveness of patient care practices and care delivery. Utilizes medical/clinical knowledge, technical skills, clinical judgment, interpersonal skills and communication skills as indicated in the current Comprehensive Accreditation Manual for Hospitals (CAMH) to guide nursing management. Promotes staffing compliance and ensures safe staffing assignments. Monitors staffing to achieve productivity and budget standards. Performs within the scope and standards of practice set by the American Nurses Association and any professional organizations specific to the specialty. Hires, coaches, counsels, evaluates, disciplines and terminates staff as appropriate. Has the responsibility and authority to assign work, direct staff, and exercise independent judgment.
Qualifications
RN license BLS & ACLS NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Three years of acute hospital clinical experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) One year or greater current (within 5 years) experience as charge nurse, relief charge nurse, or nursing management is required.
Pay
$44.63/hr - $70.24/hr
