Overview
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) role at Citadel Healthcare. The position focuses on caring for a group of residents with responsibility for assessment, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care in accordance with regulatory standards. Base pay range
$35.00/hr - $46.25/hr Duties and Responsibilities
Provides licensed care to assigned residents as ordered by physician and in accordance with facility, federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations. Provides required resident assessments/observations and interventions, reviews care plans to ensure appropriate care. Monitors vital signs, provides catheter care, administers IV therapy within license limitations, and provides respiratory care as ordered. Records nurse notes descriptively and reflects the resident’s response to care. Maintains a safe resident environment and addresses safety risks as warranted. Directs non-licensed ancillary services to meet professional standards and maintain high-quality resident care. Communicates with residents, families, physicians, guardians, governmental agencies, and facility personnel as required by policy and guidelines. Ensures care plans are implemented and maintained; recommends changes to the IDT per standards. Ensures infection control compliance and addresses non-compliance. Adheres to HIPAA policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to multi-task and remain calm under stress. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Understanding of and adherence to infection control standards and procedures. Flexible work schedule and occasional overnight travel may be required. Ability to relate positively with residents, families, community members, volunteers and staff. Education and Experience
Nursing degree or diploma from an accredited college or university. Current license to practice in the state as an LPN. 1 year of experience preferred; long-term care experience preferred. Physical Requirements
Walking, reaching, bending, lifting, extended sitting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling; sensory abilities required. Ability to work safely in environment with potential hazards and adhere to safety standards. Benefits
