Overview Gundersen Health System, based in La Crosse, WI, is seeking a BC/BE Emergency Medicine Physician to join our outstanding Emergency Medicine group.

Responsibilities

Deliver emergency medical care in a Level II Trauma Center with medical management of both ground and two air emergency transport helicopters.

Manage 75,000–80,000 visits per year in the combined urgent care and emergency department setting, with rotation coverage to rural Critical Access Hospitals.

Provide care with an egalitarian schedule, including 8-hour shifts and 12–24-hour shifts in rural ERs as part of annual coverage expectations.

Contribute to the academic mission through teaching and research as part of an innovative partnership with the University of Wisconsin Medical School.

Supervise advanced practice clinicians and participate in outreach services as part of the Medical Education philosophy and system needs.

Qualifications

Completed an accredited graduate medical training program.

Board certified or eligible in Emergency Medicine.

Must obtain or have the ability to obtain a license to practice in the multi-state region with no restrictions or limitations.

Commitment to teaching students, residents, fellows, or clinical staff as part of our medical education philosophy.
