As a Color Lab Technician, you will be responsible for lab support activity as a member of a team developing and maintaining products for Auto OEM customers. You will support multiple colorists in multiple coatings technologies as we serve a variety of OEMs. This is an onsite position working in Cleveland, OH and you will report to Product Development Supervisor.

Main Responsibilities
Work with other technical associates to plan, prepare, and execute experiments related to material design and modification.
Typical daily work will consist of some standard process activities and supporting custom or special projects.
Regular usage of spectrophotometers for color result capture.
Make water and solvent based paints, testing both wet and physical properties.
Follow lab standard work for sample preparation and testing of paint samples.
Recognize problems and unusual results and identify root causes and countermeasures.
Interpret data and make recommendations for future work.
Communicate test results to project owners.
Complete proactive 5S and lab upkeep including some maintenance of lab equipment.
Adherence to company EHS policy.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED is required; Chemistry courses preferred.
2+ years of experience with paints and coatings or advanced degree with lab experience
Math and problem-solving skills required.
Basic computer skills required.
