Job Summary The Physical Therapy Assistant shall be responsible for providing, under the direction of an physical therapist, therapeutic interventions in a team environment consistent with the position's qualifications, professional practices and ethical standards. The PTA shall also demonstrate accountability for and contribution to program development, quality improvement, and problem solving and productivity enhancement in a flexible team fashion.

What you will do in this role
Lift patients (in and out of bed, on and off gurneys) and equipment needed for therapy. Assisting patients to and from the beds/rooms which bear some/most of their weight.
Carry equipment to be used in therapy sessions.
Push wheelchairs and gurneys with patients and carts with equipment.
Pull wheelchairs and gurneys with patients and carts with equipment.
Other physical requirements include balancing, stooping, crouching, reaching, handling, feeling, and effective communication skills including talking, listening, and writing.
What qualifications you will need
(LPTA) Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant
Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
Acute and Rehabilitation experience; one year of work is preferred
