CNL degree/certification and ongoing CNL education. Actively pursue new knowledge and skills as CNL practice, patient needs, and healthcare microsystems evolve. Healthcare ethics and advocacy. Serve as a resource to the patient, microsystem healthcare team and the nursing profession; collaborate with nursing leadership to focus on the patient at the point of care. Maintain clinical knowledge and uphold the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics. Proactively address issues; focus on quality, patient safety, and patient outcomes; demonstrate collaboration with the healthcare team. Develop in organizational LEAN management principles (team input, huddles, Gemba walks, value evaluation, patient flow barriers, A-3, etc.). Foster and support shared governance to ensure nursing’s voice in the organization and ensure compliance with regulatory and disease-specific standards (e.g., TJC, CMS). Care environment management: understand microsystem care processes and care delivery dynamics to optimize or redesign them to better serve the patient and team. Microsystem team coordination and management; focus on microsystem rounding structures and processes. Evidence-based practice and utilization of healthcare informatics and technology to assess, drive change, and evaluate care processes and outcomes. Stewardship of microsystem and clinical resources; appropriate utilization and/or delegation through audits and proper resource usage. Clinical leadership, mentorship, and support of shared governance; role model professional nursing practices. Clinical outcomes management: disease management, risk anticipation, high-risk patient focus, and adherence to policy-mandated outcomes and regulatory standards. Qualifications

Required Minimum Education Master's Degree in Nursing (MS, MSN, DNP) from an accredited program with a recognized CNL program by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing. Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s) Registered Nurse (RN) license (single state) or RN Multi-state Compact; Basic Life Support (BLS) – Instructor preferred; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – Instructor preferred or provisional; ACLS – as applicable. Additional License/Certification Certification as a Clinical Nurse Leader from the Commission on Nurse Certification; required upon hire. Required Minimum Experience Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing for a similar patient population; progressive healthcare experience including direct patient care, staff education, and problem solving on unit or organizational issues. Required Minimum Skills Ability to identify opportunities for improvement in clinical operations and implement change; ability to lead, mentor and develop staff; strong customer service orientation; excellent conflict resolution; diplomatic communication; proficiency with technology to support education at the point of care; experience using quality improvement methodologies at the microsystem level; delegated oversight and evaluation of care.
