Overview
Life Science Research Professional 2 (1-Year Fixed-Term) at Stanford Department of Medicine. Position focused on coordinating clinical trials and studies involving children and adults with autism and/or developmental disabilities in the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Division of the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences. Responsibilities
Schedule and/or call subjects for appointments; contact participants with reminders or other requirements. Prepare, distribute, and process questionnaires. Maintain regulatory documents, consent forms, master subject logs, and related correspondence. Assist with screening, recruiting, and obtaining consent of study participants; review medical records and conduct interviews as needed. Administer standard study questionnaires and tests; score measurements and code data for entry; perform quality checks for completeness and accuracy. Extract data from source documents; collect data and complete case report forms. Perform basic measurements and tests on patients per protocol; collect study specimens as required. Order and maintain equipment and supplies. Process study compensation payments and send thank-you letters; assist with post-study activities as needed. Conduct cognitive and diagnostic assessments in the outpatient Child Psychiatry Division. Education & Experience (Required): Two-year college degree and one year of relevant experience or an equivalent combination. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (Required): General knowledge of medical terminology. Desirable: Experience in clinical research, particularly with children with autism and/or developmental disabilities; experience administering or willingness to learn diagnostic assessments (e.g., ADOS-2, ADI-R, IQ assessments); experience with databases such as REDCap. Physical Requirements
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and fine motor tasks; ability to lift up to 40 pounds; occasional heavy lifting beyond 40 pounds. Working Conditions
May involve exposure to hazardous materials, chemicals, blood, body fluids, tissues, and contagious diseases. Extended or unusual work hours may be required based on research needs. Location and Compensation
Hybrid work arrangement based on Stanford main campus with possible telecommuting subject to operational needs. Pay range: $29.44 to $33.26 per hour. Final compensation determined by qualifications, scope, and internal factors. Additional Information
