Summary
Working under the supervision of licensed personnel, assists patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and eating. Also assists with taking patients' vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.

Essential Functions
Performs vital signs, weights/heights, intake, and output measurements accurately within the required time frames or as requested.
Completes all documentation in the medical record as required.
Interacts effectively with patients and their families.
Helps patients with basic hygiene tasks, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding if needed.
Assists with turning and repositioning patients in bed and transferring between bed and wheelchair.
Listens to and reports patients' health concerns to nurses.
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred. This role does not accept experience in lieu of a degree.
Licenses and Credentials
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - preferred
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - preferred
Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic (Massachusetts) - preferred
Nursing Assistant (LNA - New Hampshire) - preferred
Experience
Experience working in patient care or elder care (1-2 years preferred).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Strong patient/customer service skills.
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
Proficient in computer skills for electronic medical records.
