Relief Veterinarian - Westside at Modern Animal. Modern Animal was founded in 2018 to build next-generation veterinary care by leveraging technology to improve the lives of pets, the people who love them, and the healthcare partners who take care of them. We rethink systems and processes to improve the efficiency of the veterinary clinic, giving veterinarians the time, support, and tools to practice the best medicine, and making it easier for clients to access care when they need it. We place innovative veterinary thinkers and software engineers together to build a new kind of veterinary experience. This role supports our current hospital teams in Santa Monica, Playa Vista, Culver City, and West LA. We are expanding our physical footprint and seeking a talented team of Relief Veterinarians. Responsibilities
Delivers the highest standard of medical care to all Modern Animal patients. Sees Modern Animal patients for scheduled and same-day, next-day appointments only; no surgery or dentistry. Works with a hospital team that is empowered and trained to deliver an exceptional client experience, both in-clinic and virtually. Models Modern Animal’s cultural vision by encouraging work/life balance, self-compassion, and a blame- and judgment-free environment. Qualifications
Must have an active license to practice veterinary medicine in California at the start of relief shifts with Modern Animal. License must be in good standing with no malpractice or disciplinary actions. Must hold a personal DEA license. Must maintain personal liability insurance. A paid training shift is required before scheduling any relief shifts to ensure familiarity with our EMR system and clinic workflows. Compensation and benefits
The pay range for this position is $1,300 - $1,400 per 10-hour shift; base pay offered may vary based on knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits may be offered depending on the position. This information is provided per the California Pay Transparency Act.
