Two available openings, one located in Yuma, Arizona and one located in Tucson, Arizona.
This position is an on-site position which requires the incumbent to complete their work primarily at an NAU site, campus, or facility with or without accommodation.
This position is posted as Lab Simulation Technician, which is a working title. The NAU system title for this position is Instructional Laboratory Coordinator, Senior.
Job Description
Under the direction of the Simulation Lab Manager, the Simulation Technician is primarily responsible for integrating, maintaining, and operating the computer and audio/video (A/V) technology including the manikin and surrounding simulation lab equipment and the nursing skills labs. Responsibilities include: Maintaining current knowledge of simulation/lab equipment catalogs and operation manuals. Programming simulator software to model simulator's physiological response to instructor specification. Operating patient simulators and cameras for the duration of simulations. Operating and maintaining audio-visual and debriefing systems. Setting up and taking down simulation laboratory equipment. Maintaining and repairing all simulation equipment. Troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and contacting vendors as needed. Skills Lab
Responsibilities include: Implementing, updating, and monitoring skills lab policies, procedure, use, and operation. Monitoring and scheduling use, signing out, and movement of skills lab equipment. Continuously updating and refining skills lab experiences based on identified needs. Maintaining the lab inventory, ensuring the safe storage and disposal of hazardous materials. Minimum Qualifications
Undergraduate bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience.
