Job Summary This licensed position performs duties independently under the general direction of the Mental Health Unit Director. Responsibilities include:
Providing individual, family, conjoint, and group behavioral health therapy in inpatient or outpatient settings.
Conducting assessments, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and referrals.
Providing family counseling as assigned.
Collaborating with a team to deliver evidence-based practices, working with psychiatrists, mid-level providers, and other therapists.
Minimum Qualifications
At least 1 year of experience as a behavioral health counselor.
Certifications: Workplace Violence Prevention Training, CPI's Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training, RQI BLS (within 90 days of hire).
Current Alaska Master’s Degree license (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT) meeting reimbursement requirements.
Additional Information
Internal hires: Pay rate based on personnel rules or union contract.
External hires: Starting at $38.69/hour, with pay based on experience.
All new employees must pass a negative drug screen prior to employment.
