Overview

The Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) coordinates clinical activities of the Wound Care Center. The CNM works with the Program Director and Medical Director to meet program objectives, ensure optimal healing outcomes, and patient satisfaction. All clinicians follow Healogics and hospital policies, accrediting body requirements, federal and state regulations, and CMS guidelines where applicable. Responsibilities

Proficient in Case Management responsibilities, including assessments, care planning and implementation, and patient/caregiver education related to wound care management. Organizes and prioritizes clinical responsibilities; provides clinical oversight to RNs, LPNs/LVNs, CMAs, Hyperbaric Oxygen Technicians, and other clinic staff. Collaborates with other health care providers, hospital personnel, Wound Care Center Providers, Program Director, and Medical Director regarding clinical and patient needs. Identifies and implements area improvements while complying with HIPAA, DOH, hospital and Healogics requirements. Engages in staff development, including in-services and individual instruction and orientation; provides staff recognition and feedback. Coordinates program objectives from a budgetary and financial perspective in collaboration with the Program Director. If Vein Care services are provided, coordinates vein clinic activities and assists in patient care after Vein Clinic training is completed. Collaborates with Program Director and Medical Director to achieve Wound Care Center quality indicators. May function as a Documentation Assistant (scribe) per Healogics and hospital policies. May perform hyperbaric safety director duties after required training; may act as chamber operator or emergency chamber operator after training. Performs patient care based on Center staffing needs and performs other duties as required. Required Education, Experience And Credentials

Current RN license maintained throughout employment. Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. One year experience as an RN required; two or more years preferred. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Wound care certification preferred. Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Current BLS (Basic Life Support) required. Planning, organization, prioritization and time-management skills. Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills. Ability to work with others in a team environment and communicate in layman’s terms at all levels of the organization. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong customer service and follow-up skills. Strong analytical and quantitative skills; leadership, team-building and motivational abilities. Research and teaching skills; change management and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) preferred; working knowledge of hospital databases and web-based systems. Physical Demands

Standing for extended periods (4 hours or more); viewing computer screens for extended periods; keyboarding for extended periods. Mobility, vision, reading, writing, lifting/moving items up to 20 pounds, and up to 75 pounds with assistance; pushing/pulling; bending/stooping; reaching/grasping/touching. Travel as needed (car, airplane, etc.). Work Environment

Normal office environment; predominantly indoors; patient care setting. Exposure to hazards (bloodborne pathogens, chemicals, flammable/explosive gases); exposure to mechanical equipment; proximity to moving objects. Salary range generally between $79,300.00 and $101,700.00 annually. This range is an estimate based on qualifications, education, experience, geography, and operational needs and other considerations permitted by law.
