Variable. This is a day position but it varies depending on the rotation/duties. 8‑hour shifts, including on call hours for after hours, weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
Effectively uses the nursing process in the delivery of patient care. Assesses learning needs and implements teaching strategies appropriate for the diverse needs of the patient, family and other groups or disciplines. Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources (human and fiscal) properly and serves as a leader and partner on the interdisciplinary team. Uses data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change in order to achieve optimal outcomes. Embraces concepts and behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction and employee morale and improvement in the profession of nursing. Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Registered nurse diploma (Required). Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing (Preferred). Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice (Required).
Certifications
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (Required). Certification in clinical specialty area (Preferred).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proficiency in using computers, software, and web‑based applications. Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Functional Requirements
Must be able to function independently in all areas of Endoscopy, including advanced endoscopy procedures of EUS, ERCP, as well as pulmonary procedures such as bronchoscopy and EBUS. Expertise in bariatric procedures and ION Robot is preferred. 2+ years in specialty.
