The role of a DAANCE Certified Dental Assistant is pivotal in supporting oral surgeons and ensuring the seamless operation of the clinic. This position requires a highly skilled and motivated individual with specialized knowledge in administering anesthesia, patient monitoring, and managing potential medical emergencies in a dental setting. The ideal candidate will monitor patients under sedation during oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures, provide essential chairside support to oral surgeons, maintain a sterile surgical environment, and uphold the highest standards of patient safety and care. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Monitor patients under sedation during oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort at all times. Assist chairside proficiently during a range of oral and maxillofacial surgeries, anticipating the surgeon’s needs and maintaining a smooth surgical flow. Prepare, break down, disinfect, and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments in accordance with strict infection control standards. Ensure full compliance with CDC, OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control regulations, maintaining a safe and compliant clinical environment for both patients and staff. Capture and process high-quality radiographic images, and maintain accurate, detailed documentation of patient records and surgical notes. Provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative instructions to patients, supporting their understanding, comfort, and recovery. Assist with anesthesia setup, monitoring, and documentation under the supervision of the oral surgeon, ensuring continuous patient assessment during sedation. Support overall clinic operations, ensuring readiness of surgical equipment, supplies, and patient care areas. Required Skills & Abilities:

High school diploma or equivalent and reliable transportation required. DAANCE certification required at the time of hire, demonstrating advanced knowledge in anesthesia administration, patient monitoring, and emergency management. Radiology certification required, with proficiency in capturing diagnostic images safely and accurately. Previous experience in dental or oral surgery assisting required, showcasing a strong foundation in surgical procedures, patient care, and clinical protocols. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide compassionate patient care and work effectively within a surgical team. Familiarity with Open Dental or similar practice management software preferred. Proficiency in basic computer applications, including email and Microsoft Office. Strong attention to detail, reliability, and follow-through essential for ensuring patient safety and procedural efficiency. Will be required to travel between clinic locations as needed. Qualifications:

CPR certification required. Radiology certification required. Massachusetts Dental Assistant License required or must be obtained within 6 months of hiring. DAANCE certification required at the time of hire. Compensation & Benefits:
