Facility & Unit Information
Location: 8800 N. Tryon St., Charlotte, NC 28262
130 Licensed Beds; Stroke Center
Radius rule: Traveler’s permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit
Patient Types / Common Diagnoses
LDRP – high-risk diagnoses including PPH, diabetics requiring insulin, PROM, placenta previa
GYN surgical – hysterectomy
Responsibilities
Work LDRP with knowledge of all aspects of LDRP care, circulating cesarean sections, newborn care (heel sticks, NAS scoring, 24 hr testing) and lactation support
RN: Acuity-based assignments; CNA: 1–3 per shift (1 usually a ST)
Will be required to float per region needs to listed facilities; decline if not agreeable
Provide department support: OB Tech (1 per shift); CAN/ST (1–3 per shift); Receptionist/HUC; Charge nurse; Case Manager; RT; Hospitalist/OB Physician; OB Physicians (2 practices); Pediatrician; Lactation Consultants
Technology/Equipment: EPIC EMR; Alaris IV Pumps; Omnicell; Phillips monitors; GE Corometrics fetal monitors; GE Panda warmer
Qualifications
RN license; BLS, ACLS; EFM, NRP – Required; NCC-EFM or RNC-OB preferred
Minimum 2 years of LDRP experience
First-time traveler: Not accepted
Scheduling
Shift options: 7a–7p or 7p–7a
Schedule cycle: Every 6 weeks
RTO: Up to 6 days off approved; add time to the end of contract if contracted hours cannot be met
Other Notes
Scrub Color: Navy blue scrubs or business casual to/from work; hospital-issued scrubs while at work
Parking: Free
Region 1: Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, Central Division; floating to facilities as needed within region
Region/float details: Within region and scope of practice; floating to all facilities as needed. If floating mid-shift, traveler will be paid for time traveling between facilities (on the clock).
