Cleveland Clinic’s Wound, Ostomy, and Continence (WOC) Nursing department provides specialized care and education to patients before and after ostomy surgery. This department supports patients in managing their stomas, improving quality of life and addressing questions or concerns until patients are confident in their self-care. As an RN, you will deliver exceptional care, throughout the patient care journey. In this role, you will interact directly with patients and their families, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and provide healthcare education as needed. How You’ll Benefit

Our Center for Workplace Violence Prevention and Caregiver Well-Being sets caregiver safety as a priority, identifying, reporting and responding to incidents and providing safety resources. Regular PRN Position Details

A regular PRN position, with caregivers working weekend days varying between 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. A Caregiver Who Excels in this Role Will:

Provide direct nursing care. Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans. Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions. Administer prescribed medications and treatments. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs. Educate patients and their families. Validate and document patient and family understanding of teaching. Minimum Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program) Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross One year of current acute care RN experience. Will consider licensed military RN experience Certified Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nurse (CWOCN) – Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing Certification Board or within 24 months of hire Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) Three to five years of experience in wound care Skilled in assessing wounds in various stages of injury and healing Ability to provide treatment plans and solutions Physical Requirements

Light Work – Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Requires walking or standing to a significant degree, or sitting most of the time with pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls. Constant stress and strain of maintaining a production rate pace, especially in an industrial setting, can be physically demanding even when the amount of force exerted is negligible. Personal Protective Equipment

Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures. Pay Range
