About the Role
Lexington Plastic Surgeons is seeking a skilled and compassionate
Radiation Therapist
with experience in
Superficial Radiation Therapy (SRT)
using the
Sensus Healthcare SRT-100
system. This position plays a key role in supporting our comprehensive patient care model, working closely with our plastic and reconstructive surgery teams to provide exceptional treatment outcomes.
The ideal candidate brings both technical proficiency and genuine empathy for patients, ensuring the highest standards of care and safety during each phase of the treatment process.
Responsibilities
Partner with plastic surgeons and nurse practitioners to design and coordinate treatment plans that complement surgical procedures.
Ensure smooth integration of SRT therapy within the broader treatment plan.
Treatment Delivery
Administer SRT treatments per prescribed protocols, maintaining precision and patient safety.
Monitor and document patient responses, providing education and reassurance throughout the process.
Explain radiation therapy procedures, potential side effects, and expectations to patients and their families.
Cultivate a compassionate, informative, and reassuring treatment environment.
Equipment & Safety
Operate and maintain SRT therapy equipment in accordance with regulatory and safety standards.
Collaborate with medical physics and quality teams to uphold compliance and quality assurance.
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain detailed and accurate treatment and patient records.
Ensure all required documentation for billing, compliance, and QA is completed promptly and accurately.
Professional Growth & Innovation
Stay current with new technologies and best practices in radiation therapy and reconstructive surgery.
Contribute to internal quality and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Current and valid
state licensure
as a Radiation Therapist (California required; Texas licensure a plus).
ARRT certification
in Radiation Therapy.
Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy or related field.
Experience in coordinating radiation therapy with surgical interventions preferred.
Strong technical, organizational, and communication skills.
Willingness to
travel to Texas
periodically for patient care coverage or training.
