Senior Talent Acquisition Professional at Jacobs. We are looking for a driven Civil Engineering Department Manager to grow our team in the Cary, North Carolina area. Jacobs provides an end to end engineering solution to our clients where all disciplines, including construction, are involved and collaborate for successful project delivery. You will lead a team of civil engineers supporting a broad range of projects from conception through construction, representing and guiding the civil team during design and construction phases while mentoring team members. Base pay range

$140,800.00/yr - $215,000.00/yr Responsibilities

Lead a team of civil engineers supporting a broad range of projects from concept through construction. Represent and guide the civil team throughout design and construction phases. Provide mentorship to team members for projects of all sizes and levels of design. Collaborate with clients, other managers, and professionals; manage relationships and expectations. Apply knowledge of land development, zoning, building codes, best practices, and construction detailing to guide successful execution. Support the team in all ways to ensure the success of the group and individuals. Coordinate permitting processes and understand construction impacts. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher from an ABET-accredited engineering school. Minimum of 15 years of applicable professional experience. Professional Engineering license in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering. Experience in organizing and leading a civil engineering / landscape architecture team through the project execution process (Concept Design, Basis of Design, Detail Design, Procurement, Construction Support). Advanced knowledge of design, construction documentation, construction administration, materials and methods, land development, zoning, and building codes. National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) experience. Willingness to work remotely and engage virtually with team members in different locations. Ability to balance multiple priorities and coordinate with engineering disciplines and consultants. Experience supervising other design professionals. United States Citizen. Preferred

Focus on Life Sciences projects including Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, Light Industrial, and Light Chemical. Proficiency in 3-D visualization tools (e.g., SketchUp). Site planning and land development experience. Familiarity with LEED and sustainable strategies. Proficiency in StormCAD and PondPack; working knowledge of AutoCAD/MicroStation, Revit, Civil 3D, and AutoTURN. Location & Work Arrangement

Hybrid work arrangement; on-site presence in Cary, North Carolina for at least 3 days per week. About Jacobs
