Understands and applies established acceptable workmanship practices to all facets of mechanical assembly. Interprets and works from schematics, drawings, work instructions and bills of material to determine required parts and steps for the assembly. Uses a wide variety of hand and power tools to perform skilled fitting and assembly work. Inspects parts and performs basic tests. Works at different workstations as production needs require, including online where tasks vary as different models move along the line. Performs intermediate testing, assembly, and/or disassembly of mechanical assemblies using equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power supplies, function generators, torque wrenches and other tools. Operates with manual dexterity on complex components, using hand tools, power tools, machining tools, soldering equipment and related test instrumentation. Positions and aligns parts in specified relationships using jigs, fixtures, or holding devices. Joins components by crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, rivets, welds, solders, cements, press fits, or similar methods. Performs general assembly tasks such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching, impregnating, and color-coding as required. Adjusts or trims materials to achieve specified electrical or dimensional characteristics. May perform hand soldering and work under a microscope as needed. Performs online go/no-go testing and inspection to ensure parts meet specifications and standards. Troubleshoots and replaces defects; reworks and repairs defective units as required. Follows safety procedures for handling flammable and hazardous chemicals to meet cleanliness specifications. Ensures quality checks are completed throughout the manufacturing process and records information on production records and reports. Provides basic training and instruction to lower-level assemblers on day-to-day assignments. Qualifications

Vocational or Technical Certificate or some college level courses in related field preferred; minimum of 8 years of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure; apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization; interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Computer Skills

Ability to enter time and data into a computer system; may require knowledge of database, inventory, manufacturing, spreadsheet, and/or word processing software. US Person

SIGN ON BONUS $3,000.00 Salary Range: $37,200.00 - $49,600.00 Pay transparency: The anticipated salary range is an estimate; actual compensation is determined based on location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and position type.
