Group Summary The Magna Exteriors portfolio includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems, and lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck, and industrial markets. Job Responsibilities Exhibit teamwork skills and actively participate in team activities in a positive environment. Demonstrate problem-solving skills aimed at continuous improvement. Follow company policies and conduct as outlined in the employee handbook. Adhere to safety rules and maintain a safe, healthful workplace. Participate in Lean, Continuous Improvement programs and initiatives. Stay current with advancements in automation technology, facility maintenance, and best practices. Be flexible with work schedules to address machine issues as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by the Manufacturing Engineering Manager. Design, maintain, and improve assembly equipment for safety and efficiency. Manage secondary equipment phases for successful new program launches. Improve equipment uptime, capability, and reduce cycle times. Implement error-proofing systems throughout the department. Investigate quality issues and implement corrective actions. Provide training on secondary equipment and machine operation to personnel. Respond promptly to downtime issues. Install and maintain end-of-line testing systems. Support quality improvements and corrective actions for products, processes, and equipment. Assist in launching new programs and implementing new technologies. Develop preventative maintenance plans for new equipment. Lead continuous improvement projects for machine capabilities. Support LEAN manufacturing practices and departmental KPIs. Assist maintenance and engineering activities, including troubleshooting and repairs. Collaborate with automation engineers and other departments. Work weekends as required.
