City of New York . Hours: Full-Time – 35 Hours Work Location: 30-30 Thomson Avenue, LIC, NY 11101 Responsibilities

Coordinate and supervise a team of Resident Engineers, Office Engineers, Inspectors, and Junior Engineers; conduct constructability review meetings to minimize construction delays; ensure project information is compiled accurately; generate project data to aid in resolving field problems; provide information to the Design, Engineering Services’ Utility Coordination team, and Program Management Units during various stages of construction. Inspect contracted work to ensure compliance with Agency and City policies and standards; generate cost proposals and estimates for contract price negotiations; evaluate and recommend design or redesign modifications of engineering structures; attend pre-alignment meetings. Serve as the Agency's on-site representative by coordinating with public and private sector representatives to minimize disruption and construction impact on the community; develop and train employees. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: One year of full-time supervisory/project management experience on engineering/architectural/landscape projects or a construction project worth $1,000,000 or more, plus one of the following: A baccalaureate degree in engineering, engineering technology, architecture, landscape architecture, construction management, urban planning, or related fields, and one year of project management experience; or A four-year high school diploma and five years of experience as described above; or A four-year high school diploma plus combination of college/experience to total five years; one year of credit for certain degrees or licenses as specified. A NYS Professional Engineer, Registered Architect, or Registered Landscape Architect license may count as experience, where applicable. In addition, at least one additional year of supervisory experience or project management for a large/complex construction project is required; and in some cases two additional years. Preferred Skills

Three years or more as Resident Engineer with knowledge of capital construction and consultant contracts. Construction experience related to infrastructure work (roadway, sewer, and/or water main). Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD. Familiarity with NYC DOT, NYS DOT, NYC DEP specifications, MUTCD, and AASHTO standards. Understanding of NYC infrastructure systems and current engineering practices. Primavera P6 scheduling and ENV SP credential (preferred). Valid driver’s license (required); personal vehicle (preferred). Additional Information
