Overview
Project Manager position for the Engineering & Construction (E&C) Business Unit in Juno Beach, FL. This role is responsible for daily project coordination of internal and external resources to support Development, Engineering, Estimating, Supply Chain, Scheduling, and Construction activities from pre-construction (Early Stage) up to the point of Construction for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects within the E&C unit. Responsibilities
Coordinate with environmental, regulatory, cultural, land acquisition, interconnection, and other project variables to ensure all factors are identified and incorporated. Develop the project's technical scope and optimize variables to improve technical and financial feasibility. Support origination and development teams with PPA and GIA negotiations and assist development teams with jurisdictional needs. Coordinate engineering, estimating, procurement requirements, and support the E&C engineering team with technical attributes for development of designs. Support the E&C cost estimating team in developing financial models and actively seek market data to ensure the financial model remains healthy. Present the financial model to the respective business unit(s) and actively manage it through executive budget approvals. Source, negotiate, and execute commercial contracts for critical services (e.g., geotechnical, survey, engineering, EPC/PC construction services) while upholding and representing E&C interests. Engage in software applications to manage data, deliverables, and key indicators; support process improvements and efficiency initiatives for growth. Communicate and interface with Executive Leadership, Suppliers, Regulatory Agencies, Local Communities, and other stakeholders; present project progress and risk mitigation to various management levels. Ensure projects moving to Construction are handed over with an inclusive and executable construction plan. Manage multiple projects across the United States and Canada with occasional travel to project locations and to support Development with local public hearings. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Finance/Accounting; related experience in engineering and construction of renewable energy projects preferred. Experience with electricity markets, renewables, and/or battery projects is a plus. PMP Certification and advanced Excel skills preferred. Experience: 5+ years; 5+ years experience required (as applicable). Required Qualifications
