MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST ELECTRICIAN VI -

Minimum Offer: $30.60/hr. Maximum Offer: $45.89/hr. Compensation for this role is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to experience, education, and other business and organizational considerations.
Department and Shift
Department: Plant Operations & Maintenance. FTE: 1.00. Full Time. Shift: Rotating. Position Summary
Plan, coordinate and perform electrical and facility maintenance operations within assigned area; ensure uninterrupted hospital electrical operations by promoting preventive and predictive maintenance; lead and/or guide the work of lower level staff as required. Detailed Responsibilities
Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) procedures, tests and repairs on applicable electrical equipment. Ensure repairs and services are completed in a timely manner. Monitor and troubleshoot performance of installed electrical equipment for hazards, adjustments, or replacement. Replace and/or upgrade existing equipment for safety or energy efficiency. Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promote workplace safety. Lead, guide, and/or train lower level staff in applicable procedures and techniques. Ensure compliance with department and hospital goals, objectives, policies and procedures. Participate in the development of the department budget. Required to be on-call and rotate according to assigned schedule. Qualifications
Related Education and Experience may be substituted for one another on a year for year basis. Education
Essential: High School or GED Equivalent. Nonessential: Vocational or Technical, Related Discipline. Experience
Essential: 5 years directly related experience. Credentials
Journeyman Electrician License in New Mexico. Valid New Mexico Driver's License. UNM Vehicle Operator's Permit w/in 60 days. Physical Conditions
Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people. Working Conditions
Sig Hazard: Chemicals, Bio Hazardous Materials req PPE. Subject to random alcohol and substance testing.
