Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Survey Party Chief to lead field survey crews in the collection of data for construction, boundary, topographic, and other land surveying projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily field operations, ensuring data accuracy, and maintaining safety and efficiency on-site.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage a field survey crew on various types of survey projects. Conduct field surveys including boundary, topographic, construction staking, and as-built surveys. Operate and maintain survey instruments such as total stations, GPS, and data collectors. Interpret project plans and specifications to ensure accurate data collection. Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and clients. Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Party Chief or in a similar field leadership role. Proficiency with survey equipment and software, including AutoCAD Civil 3D. Strong understanding of land surveying principles and practices. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Ability to work independently and manage a team in the field.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with DOT or construction-related surveying. Familiarity with local and state surveying regulations. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Work Environment
This is a remote role where the consultant will travel directly from their home to the job site in Palm Beach and Broward County. A company truck is provided for work purposes and can be taken home.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
