Overview Lakeview is seeking a strategic and hands‑on VP, Change Management to lead Consumer Direct change management across both business‑as‑usual (BAU) initiatives and a platform improvement program. Reporting to the VP of Strategy & Transformation, this leader will establish and mature the change management function, owning the enterprise Change Calendar, readiness gates, and adoption analytics. The VP will partner closely with the AVP, Program Management, while coordinating with Compliance, Risk, Technology, Operations, UAT, and Training to ensure changes are understood, timed, trained, and supported from planning through hypercare. The ideal candidate brings deep mortgage experience and a strong background in leading large‑scale change initiatives, with a proven ability to influence stakeholders, manage complex projects, and deliver measurable business outcomes in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

Establish and lead the Consumer Direct change management strategy, defining the operating model, governance (including a Change Advisory Board), standard templates, and KPIs.

Own and maintain the enterprise Change Calendar, including the implementation of readiness gates, change tiering, and adoption analytics to track and measure change impact.

Develop team capacity and capabilities, including hiring and managing a high‑performing team; define role expectations, manage contractors and surge resources (as needed), and promote a culture of speed, quality, and stakeholder experience.

Set change delivery standards, including WIP limits, month‑end blackout periods, and prioritization of risk, compliance, and regulatory initiatives while protecting larger initiatives and enforcing month‑end/peak‑period blackout rules.

Ensure regulatory, compliance, risk driven changes are prioritized while safeguarding larger strategic initiatives.

Develop and execute change management strategies (e.g. approach, governance, templates, cadence) for large‑scale initiatives, guiding cross‑functional stakeholders from early planning through execution and hypercare.

From planning through hypercare, partner with cross‑functional teams on readiness through stakeholder mapping, impact analysis, communications, training and compliance/risk requirements.

Present change readiness updates at Release and Change Advisory Board meetings, clearly articulating business and technology preparedness, risk posture, and stakeholder alignment; co‑define go/no‑go criteria in partnership with Technology, including thresholds for training completion, communication delivery, job aid publication, and UAT exit.

Conduct post release retrospectives and track remediation actions and partner on release post‑mortems to drive continuous improvement in the change lifecycle.

Design and implement dashboards and KPI reporting for measure change and effectiveness and convert insights into action plans with owners and timelines providing clear and strategic executive recommendations.

Collaborate with Program Management, Compliance, Risk, Technology, Operations, UAT/QA, and Training to embed controls and improve communications through the change lifecycle.

Partner with Marketing, Sales, and Fulfillment leadership to improve collaboration and project execution.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred

10+ years of progressive experience leading change management or adjacent functions; Mortgage experience strongly preferred, ideally within Consumer Direct mortgage industry or distributed retail.

Demonstrated success driving adoption across business functions, including Sales, Processing, Underwriting, Closing/Funding, Servicing, and back‑office functions, while partnering with Compliance, Risk, InfoSec, and Technology.

Proven experience standing up or leading a change management function, including improving and building governance, templates, calendar, analytics and scaling it across BAU and large, multi‑quarter large technology projects in a regulated environment strongly preferred.

Strong track record implementing data‑driven adoption measurements (e.g. product/usage analytics, surveys/NPS, time‑to‑proficiency) and synthesizing insights into clear, executive‑ready recommendations.

Strong communicator and facilitator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders, simplify complex changes, and manage cutovers and hypercare with urgency and poise.

Deep familiarity with end‑to‑end consumer lending processes (e.g. applications, disclosures, verification, underwriting, closing, funding, post‑close, reporting)

Strong knowledge of enterprise release/change governance frameworks and cross functional readiness strongly preferred.

Comfort operating in a fast‑paced, highly cross‑functional environment with competing priorities and evolving strategic initiatives.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND/OR REGISTRATION

Prosci/ACMP (or similar) preferred; PMP/Agile exposure a plus.
