The Position reports to: Quality Manager. Your Role And Responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the execution of supplier assessments, drive both corrective and preventive actions based on supplier maturity and performance levels. Each day, you will manage operational supplier quality, both on-site and off-site, ensuring the thorough execution of supplier qualification and development processes. You will also showcase your expertise by managing the supplier’s KPIs. The work model for the role is onsite. This role contributes to the ELSE Division in North America. Main stakeholders are ELSE North America and vendors. You Will Be Mainly Accountable For
Manages operational supplier quality, including validating the supplier's quality systems and processes. Drives approval process for supplier parts, materials, and project subcontractor services, as applicable, involving collaboration with other functions/experts, encompassing activities like PPAP and product surveillance at supplier manufacturing sites. Leads in promptly addressing supply issues related to quality, deliveries, non-conforming products, or project services. Works with buyers to engage suppliers and prepare claims cases when necessary. Leads improvement projects in collaboration with the on-site Supplier team. Ensures the execution of the supplier qualification process and that the relevant suppliers are fully qualified and remain compliant with the required standards. Works with the Procurement management team to continually improve such processes, including necessary training materials. Uses supplier quality management tools and systems for collaboration, reporting, monitoring and disposition of quality, delivery, cost, and compliance metrics. Qualifications For The Role
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Electronic or Quality Engineering. Experience with Quality tools and metrics, especially PPAP. Knowledge of FAI process. About 3 years of experience managing suppliers. Enhanced knowledge of ARIBA tool. ISO 9001:2015 auditor, SSBM Auditor and 10 CFR Part 50 Appendix B auditor preferred. English and Spanish preferred. Skills: Data analysis and reporting, supplier relationship management, drawings interpretation, problem solving and root cause analysis. Ability to travel up to 70%, including international travel.
