Overview

GeoStabilization International is seeking a Traveling Superintendent. This is a travel role with projects across the Eastern US. We’re looking for Superintendents experienced in geotechnical or civil construction who can manage teams and projects to get work done. GeoStabilization International is a leading geohazard mitigation firm with expertise in landslide repairs, rockfall mitigation, and grouting. We operate throughout the United States and Canada and are part of a growing portfolio of businesses. Responsibilities

Managing a team to install geohazard mitigation products as outlined in job site drawings and operating procedures. Adhering to the PISTOL process, with emphasis on pre-construction planning. Creating and executing safety plans to protect all crew members. Planning and managing projects with the daily management process (including +QDIPC). Monitoring project performance, including duration and cost variance from budget. Maintaining compliance with daily logs, checklists, photo submissions, as-builts documentation, employee relations, credit card receipts, etc. Managing crew member relations, including performance reviews, development plans, coaching, and disciplinary actions. Coordinating crew travel appropriately. Accountable for equipment daily maintenance, cleanliness, and related documentation. Ensuring quality and testing programs are adhered to. Ensuring effective teamwork and communication between all functional groups on projects. Maintaining efficient and effective client-facing communication. Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction (geotechnical industry preferred), including job management and knowledge of building products and services. Minimum 1 year of experience as a Superintendent. Ability to interpret scope, specifications (including blueprints), and timeliness of customer plans while meeting profitability goals. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality projects within deadlines. Proven ability to manage projects and crews simultaneously. Strong communication skills; ability to speak clearly and persuasively in all situations. Ability to work cross-functionally. Flexible schedule to accommodate business needs. Working knowledge of company-provided hardware and web-based technology systems. Valid driver’s license required (CDL A helpful). Ability to use pneumatic, battery-powered or electric tools. Ability to travel extensively. Work Environment

The work environment may vary by location and project. Typical conditions include: Climates ranging from tropical to desert environments. Moderate noise with hearing protection often required. Exposure to construction site hazards. Regular heavy lifting (up to 75 lbs) of materials on site. Up to 100% travel across the United States. Compensation

Salary-based (non-exempt). Base hourly rate paid weekly, including weeks off. Hourly rate range: $33–$40 per hour. Average total compensation over $120,000 per year with bonus and overtime (based on 2024 data). Yearly bonus and stock ownership program. 100% paid travel. Benefits Include
