Hotel 1099 Maintenance Technician - Seattle

Overview
Woodspring Suites in Seattle Metro Areas needs a new 1099 Contractor Maintenance Tech for three locations. Maintenance Techs (MT) will have a primary focus of keeping the property operational. They perform work involving the skills needed to maintain and repair equipment and the structure of the hotel. Duties may involve carpentry; plumbing, repairing electrical or mechanical equipment; installing and repairing kitchen appliances, PTACs, and repairing interior and exterior walls, siding, roof, landscape, concrete, and interior carpet, floors, or stairs. Ideally this person is personally committed to assure all known issues are repaired at the end of each shift of work. Responsibilities
Maintain and repair equipment and the structural components of the hotel to keep the property operational. Perform carpentry, plumbing, electrical or mechanical repairs as needed. Install and repair kitchen appliances, PTAC units, and repair interior and exterior walls, siding, roof, landscape, concrete, and interior surfaces (carpet, floors, stairs). Ensure known issues are addressed and repaired by end of each shift. Skills / Qualifications
Responsible for providing their own tools. Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools (hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches) to precision measuring instruments and electrical/electronic testing devices. Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electronic repair with the ability to diagnose mechanical problems and determine corrective action, including checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary. Must have a clean driving record. Owning a service-type vehicle is a plus. Preference for those who have completed formal training programs in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general construction. Physical Requirements
100 lbs. maximum lifting with frequent lift and carry up to 50 lbs; team lift may be required. Must be able to use ladders frequently and go up and down stairs, bend, squat, lift, pull/push. Must move furniture as needed and be able to use cleaning and painting products and electric hand tools. Equal Opportunity
