Quality Control Manager - Camp Pendleton
EMI Services is hiring a
Quality Control Manager (QCM)
to work directly with the project manager, operations manager, safety supervisor, and the United States Government. This position ensures quality services to customers by monitoring performance levels and compliance with established QC programs. The QCM tests and inspects services and work performed for contract compliance and standards, evaluates data, writes reports, and recommends modifications for quality improvement. Additionally, the QCM monitors building conditions for QC issues, manages safety and health concerns, and investigates complaints, reporting findings to the project manager. The ideal candidate promotes quality and customer service excellence.
Salary
Starting at $100,000 (DOE) plus employer-paid insurance!
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with Project Manager, FSM, SSHO, subcontractors, and QCI Staff
Perform all aspects of Quality Control Inspection and documentation of Service and Maintenance work
Develop and maintain quality surveillance and tracking systems for maintenance shops and subcontractors
Develop and implement QC plan, ensuring environmental compliance, performance monitoring, analysis, and reporting
Advise the Project Manager on quality control and environmental program status, strategies, issues, and potential problems
Monitor and track qualifications or credentials required by personnel
Enforce all safety rules and regulations
Manage Quality Control Inspectors
Lead monthly QCM meetings with the Government
Perform additional duties as required to complete the project
Essential Skills
Effective oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and contract requirements
Ability to work in a team environment and adhere to company policies
Strong work ethic and values
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Flexibility and adaptability in work situations
Adherence to safety policies, including proper PPE use
High School Diploma or equivalent
5+ years of experience as a Quality Control Manager on federal projects
Experience with Government Contracts and personnel
ASQ CMQ/OE Certification
Safety Certification
OSHA 30-hour
Construction Quality Management course within 5 years
Additional Requirements
Valid driver’s license compliant with REAL ID Act or willingness to obtain one
Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
Dependable attendance
U.S. citizenship for access to military installations

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (1:2 ratio) in maintenance and repair facilities
Physical Requirements
Carrying objects/boxes/print-outs short distances
Extensive computer work
Lifting/moving up to 50 pounds with assistance
Use of hands, reaching, talking, walking
Prolonged sitting, bending, squatting, standing, twisting, stooping
Climbing ladders and entering confined spaces
Work indoors and outdoors in various temperatures and weather conditions
