Overview

Research Services Wet Laboratory Intermediate Professional at University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. This role seeks an outstanding candidate with a background in molecular biological laboratory procedures to join an established, collaborative team conducting research at the intersection of brain health and biological processes. The team leads clinical and preclinical studies aimed at improving psychological health outcomes, detecting risk and protective factors in mental health, and determining biological mechanisms associated with brain health. Key Responsibilities

Laboratory Sciences (65%): design and perform experiments, acquire and analyze data, and document and contribute to presentations and publications of findings; collect, record, and analyze data with other research staff; perform ELISA assays, PCR/qPCR runs, DNA/RNA extractions, and microscopic analyses; order reagents and oversee inventory; recommend new equipment and processes and develop operating procedures and quality control measures. Regulatory (25%): maintain laboratory records, supplies, and samples; assist with regulatory compliance documents for clinical studies; perform yearly audits of sample inventory and matching datasets; follow rules and regulations to ensure laboratory compliance. Additional Duties & Responsibilities (10%): prepare lab for daily operations, including stocking, safety, cleanliness, and disposal of materials and samples; note that duties may change based on business needs. Onsite – Aurora, CO. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in any field One (1) year of wet lab experience Note: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year-for-year basis. U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident status is required due to funding restrictions. Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in biology, molecular biology, chemistry or related field Two (2) years of experience in an experimental or wet laboratory Prior experience in working with clinical samples Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Proficient knowledge of basic laboratory techniques and safety procedures Strong communication skills; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships; customer service orientation Knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology Ability to interpret complex research protocol information Regulatory Compliance

Understanding and adherence to SOPs, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), IRB, VA, and FDA regulations; ensure regulatory procedures are completed accurately and on time; attention to detail for regulatory compliance. Project Management

Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while maintaining regulatory compliance; skills in planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet milestones. Documentation and Record-Keeping

Maintaining accurate and comprehensive documentation for all studies; developing and maintaining SOPs and ensuring regulatory compliance. How to Apply
