Overview
The FTZ Compliance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring FTZ compliance in partnership with the facility Operations Management team. What you will be doing
Establishes and monitors operational procedures for activity such as verification/validation of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, current warehouse inventory sync with AOS system and timely variance reporting. Applies regulatory, judicial, international and/or Customs and Border Protection decisions/views to products being classified. Meets with client, AOS and/or government officials to review FTZ product lines. Prepares various reports which assist in daily operations such as upcoming FTZ related inbounds, daily item variances between Synapse and AOS systems and other reports as identified. Prepares reports such as weekly/monthly/quarterly FTZ data reporting. Manages and trains other employees on FTZ requirements and procedures and regulatory compliance. Ensures high level of customer satisfaction by communicating frequently with customers and following up on customer concerns and requests. Ensures safe operation of the warehouse including meeting company standards for sanitation, maintenance, security and housekeeping. Ensures adequate staffing, training, coaching and counseling for employees. Reports employees’ hours worked to payroll on a weekly basis. Ensures ISO compliance, where applicable. Manages subordinates by interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining. Directs, coordinates, and evaluates assigned unit(s) by carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Addresses complaints and resolves problems. Ensures the profitability of the account/warehouse as applicable. Other duties as required and assigned. Requirements
Minimum 3 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and training Must be PC literate and proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
