Workforce Development Coordinator to join our

YouthBuild Program . SALARY: The average starting salary for this position will fall in the range of
$48,500
and
$53,500
annually. Where candidates fall in this range will be based on skill and experience level. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Responsible for the efficiency and effectiveness of the Youth Build training operations through service delivery, delivery partners, and implementation of program evaluations. Effectively develop and administer training, program, staff, and Volunteers. Foster an environment of open communications and collaboration, which builds a student-centered, community-focused team among all Youth Build staff and partners. Coordinate a range of training programs (virtual and in-person) that will ensure quality and engaged instruction of construction skills including demolition, rough framing, roofing, drywall, carpentry, sheet metal, electrical, plumbing, painting, and masonry. Be responsible for overall safety enforcement. Collaborate with the program supervisor, building contractors, and other subject matter experts to maintain a consistency in the training curriculum and performance delivery at rehabilitation and construction site properties. Coordinate the development of the training curriculum to cultivate leadership and awareness in the field of construction. Train and provide oversight of the on-site construction training by ensuring that trainees get consistent and adequate skills. Adhere to both OSHA-10 and NCCER guidelines and curricula. Actively participate in forums, meetings, and strategy sessions with program supervisor, community members, funders, and other subject matter experts. Other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES: Assist in the evaluation of student knowledge and skills in construction. Ability to organize and cultivate leadership among a myriad of stakeholder groups, facilitate group meetings is required. Excellent communication and presentation skills required. QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED certificate and 6+ years of experience in the field of construction,
required. Must be committed to the education and development of at-risk youth in the community
required. Available to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings and some weekends
required. Must be an entrepreneurial, collaborative and a continuous learner
required. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Satisfactorily pass all relevant screenings and criminal background checks. TRANSPORTATION/TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Driving for work required with a personally owned vehicle. Travel between sites required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and stand for sustained periods of time, frequently talk, hear, use hands and fingers to feel, handle and operate objects or controls, and occasionally stand, bend, stretch, stoop, kneel and crouch. The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing and viewing a computer terminal.
