Overview

Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant- Lead - UC Staffing Operations- Float Pool- Boise Role overview: The Lead APP (Assistant of UC Staffing Operations) will assist the Urgent Care Manager and Medical Director with creating and maintaining the provider schedule, participating in recruitment and onboarding, and supporting other related duties. The role includes providing primary or acute healthcare services for certain acute or chronic health conditions in specific populations, in accordance with scope of practice, policies, values, and mission of the organization.

Responsibilities

Generate a monthly urgent care provider schedule six to eight weeks in advance and work with the team to fill gaps, cover call outs, and provide surge coverage after publication. Adopt, master, and educate the team on new scheduling processes or software. Collaborate with the Urgent Care Manager and Medical Director on ongoing provider staffing needs, including interviews and recruitment. Assist with new graduate onboarding and the new graduate program, as needed. Provide backup call coverage for the Urgent Care Manager and Medical Director as needed. Able and willing to work at all urgent care clinic locations. Obtain patient history, perform assessments, order and interpret diagnostic studies, and provide preventative health assessments, screenings, immunizations, and care. Provide direct treatment and management of health conditions, including prescriptive authority and appropriate referrals. Counsel and educate patients and families/caregivers on preventative health, treatment options, and community resources. Promote age- and culture-appropriate informed choices, shared decision-making, and self-determination. Demonstrate critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a potentially stressful environment. Demonstrate teamwork, performance analysis, presentation, interpersonal, facilitation, planning, and communication skills. Qualifications

Master's degree in Nursing with graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program. Licensed as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) and Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Licensed as a Physician Assistant in the State of Idaho or Oregon, as determined by location of assignment. Certification through one of the following: American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or current certification as prescribed by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Current DEA and Idaho Board of Pharmacy Controlled Substance license. Two years of experience preferred in a setting appropriate to the assigned practice (family practice, specialty services, urgent care, occupational medicine, etc.). Employment details
