Position Summary As a Resident Lifestyle Coordinator (Activities Coordinator) for our Memory Care Neighborhood, you will support the Resident Lifestyle Director by designing, creating, initiating, facilitating, and coordinating enrichment activities that promote residents' physical, mental, emotional, and social well-being.
Key Responsibilities
Engage residents one-on-one and in small and large group settings.
Lead or assist with social, religious, educational, indoor, outdoor activities, exercise, and outings.
Facilitate games, conversations, exercise classes, art and music, trips, and special events.
Support coordination of the monthly newsletter.
Encourage participation and document outcomes.
Review goals and progress notes.
Assist in decorating for special events, holidays, and seasonal celebrations.
Coordinate external trips and ensure resident safety during outings.
Assist the Resident Lifestyle Director as needed.
Candidate Qualifications Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Dementia Care Certification/Training and Experience strongly preferred.
Experience, Competencies, and Skills:
6-12 months of relevant experience with seniors and life enrichment activities preferred.
Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook.
Ability to work independently and follow scheduled plans.
Maintain composure in stressful situations; respect and dignity for residents.
Friendly, assertive, professional, outgoing, multitasked, and organized.
Excellent communication skills.
Availability for flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
