is recruiting for

Radiologic Technologist Trainee

who perform radiographic procedures using x-rays to produce images for diagnosis of pathological and traumatic disorders. This is a trainee level classification under training conditions while acquiring the skills to qualify for promotion to Radiologic Technologist II.

ARROWHEAD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER Located on a 70-acre campus in Colton, California, ARMC is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties, a comprehensive stroke center, a level I trauma center and a behavioral health center. ARMC operates five community-based primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacent California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM).

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Shift Availability:

ARMC operates 24 hours; applicants must indicate shift availability in the Supplemental Questionnaire. Shift differentials are provided.

Pre-Employment Process:

Selected applicants must pass a background investigation, physical, and verification of employment history and education.

Licenses/Certifications:

Incumbents must possess and maintain all licenses required by their classification and must obtain a State Fluoroscopy license within six (6) months of hire.

Trainee Level:

Radiologic Technologist I are eligible for promotion to Radiologic Technologist II upon satisfactory progress; must be promoted within twelve (12) months or termination may occur.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS, REGISTRATIONS & LICENSES

State of California, Department of Public Health Radiologic Technologist Certification

Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association)

Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

ARMC STUDENTS/GRADUATES Applications will be accepted for RT I from students enrolled in or graduates of ARMC’s Radiologic Technology program who have passed the ARRT National Board or who have registered to take the ARRT National Board; examination date must be within one month of application. Job offers may be contingent upon obtaining all required certifications.

Proof of enrollment or graduation from the ARMC Radiologic Technology Program (attach degree, current transcript, or student ID)

Proof that ARRT National Board has been passed or proof of registration to take the examination (attach confirmation)
