is recruiting for a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
who performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures involving the use of radionuclides
.
Other d uties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Calculates the strength of radioactive materials; measures and dilutes precise quantities of radioactive materials; administers appropriate radioactive materials for isotope procedures prescribed by a physician. Operates radiation analyzers, scanners, scalers, recorders, and other instruments used to measure and count radiation; monitors and controls the storage and security of radioactive isotopes; and compares the relative degrees of radiation and the necessary proportions in the preparation of radioactive pharmaceuticals. Maintains the working area in an efficient and safe manner to reduce the possibility of excessive radiation. Assists the Radiologists in special procedures and in the preparation of special radioactive pharmaceuticals. Prepares and maintains logs, records, and reports on tests and procedures conducted and radioactive pharmaceuticals stored and used. Performs all tests and documentation for quality control standards set by the department and Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals Organization. Read the

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC)
is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. Additionally, ARMC operates five community-based, primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacently located California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM), the Inland Empire's newest medical school.

CERTIFICATION: Must possess and maintain a current certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist from the State of California Department of Health Services.

Must possess and maintain current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist or with the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
