Location: Pittsfield, ME 04967 (Maine healthcare jobs) Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse Unit: Emergency Department (ER) Start Date: September 1, 2025 End Date: November 29, 2025 Duration: 13-week nursing contract Shift: 12 Hour Nights (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM) Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed hours Estimated Weekly Salary: $1880 - $2020 per week
Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Maine or compact state preferred) Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room (ER) nursing experience Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills Ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-acuity healthcare environment
ER RN Responsibilities
Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to Emergency Department patients Assess, triage, and prioritize patient care based on acuity and clinical protocols Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions as prescribed Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members for optimal patient outcomes Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record (EMR) Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care
