Description The University of Houston Andy and Barbara Gessner College of Nursing with locations at UH at Sugar Land, UH at Katy and UH Central campus seek outstanding candidates for part-time Adjunct Faculty positions. Adjunct responsibilities include: undergraduate or graduate classroom and/or clinical instruction using on-site, simulation, and on-line education strategies; some travel; evaluation of student performance, communication with program directors, track managers and clinical learning coordinator. The College of Nursing is proud of its excellent Second Degree BSN, Traditional BSN, RN-BSN, MSN and DNP academic programs, innovative web enhanced education, accredited simulation centers, and a supportive student environment for both face-to-face and distance learning. Ability to teach a variety of upper level undergraduate specialty areas is a plus. Summer teaching is normally available. Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in nursing from a professionally accredited school of nursing.
Candidate must possess an unencumbered license as a registered nurse in Texas and an advanced practice nurse license, if applicable, in Texas.
Minimum 2 years nursing experience.
Excellent clinical and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Doctorate or substantial progress toward doctorate in nursing or related field.
Teaching experience in nursing.
