Description College & Career Pathways Coordinator - Adult Learners (CCPC-AL) (40 hours, Full-time) Exempt

The College and Career Pathways Coordinator role supports 18- to 24-year-old adult learners in navigating educational and career transitions. This role is pivotal in coordinating and promoting career-focused opportunities that empower adult youth to achieve their academic and professional goals. This position bridges adult education, workforce development, and postsecondary systems to facilitate seamless transitions from:

Job training to employment

College degree attainment to employment

Disconnection to employment or enrollment

This position reports to the College and Career Pathways Manager (CCPM). The coordinator works collaboratively with program managers, coordinators, and specialists, finance, development, the impact team, and the CCM to achieve program success.

Responsibilities

Track progress toward program goals, annual objectives, and budget utilization

Monitor compliance with contracts and grant requirements

Provide regular updates to the CCM and attend donor meetings to share impact and recommendations

Contribute to grant writing and reporting using data on community needs, outcomes, and success stories

Prepare promotional materials such as flyers, bulletins, and newsletters

Develop and deliver curriculum focused on academic success, career readiness, life skills, and financial literacy

Coordinate and support events such as college and career fairs, internships, field trips, workshops, and application support

Support graduation planning and program completion ceremonies.

Allocate resources responsibly in alignment with program objectives and funder requirements

Process stipends, scholarship payments, and emergency funding requests for youth participants

Collaborate with BUILD departments to integrate education and career services

Cultivate relationships with community organizations, employers, and educational institutions

Represent BUILD at public events and promote its mission and services

Lead community outreach and strategic partnership efforts

Participate in recruitment and engagement events (some evenings/weekends required)

Support civic engagement initiatives aligned with BUILD’s mission

Stay current with trends in education and workforce development through workshops and field engagement

Perform other duties as assigned to enhance program effectiveness and reach

Requirements

Associate or bachelor’s degree in education, human resources, social services, or a related field preferred; alternatively, a minimum of five years of relevant professional experience will be considered.

Minimum 2 years of experience in adult education or career pathway coordination with a degree

Availability for overnight travel for campus visits and in-person college student mentoring

Additional certifications in youth development, college access, or workforce development are a plus

Experience managing partnerships with higher education institutions, employers, and public agencies

Ability to navigate education/workforce systems and advocate for youth access and success

Demonstrated commitment to educational equity and social justice

Strong interpersonal and cultural competency skills; asset-based leadership mindset

Ability to adapt to changing needs, crises, and competing priorities

Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

As of October 15, 2021, all BUILD employees are required to submit proof of full vaccination status.
