Pay Range:
$30.00/hr – $45.82/hr
Overview Performs computerized tomographic radiographs according to established practices and procedures. Reviews exams for clinical appropriateness, appropriately prioritizes exams, and demonstrates effective communication of critical situations. Supports new employee orientation by properly documenting clinical competence, maintains necessary credentials and timely renewal of required credentials. May be required to perform general radiology and/or lab testing as required by primary job location.
Responsibilities
Utilizes clinical reasoning including critical thinking, decision making, and prioritization to manage CT imaging.
Works on behalf of patients and significant others, representing their concerns and helping resolve ethical and clinical issues.
Creates a compassionate, supportive, and therapeutic environment for patients and staff, promoting comfort and healing and preventing unnecessary suffering or harm.
Involves multidisciplinary team to promote optimal goals and outcomes.
Effectively manages environmental and system resources across the healthcare system and community to meet patient needs and ensure quality care and outcomes.
Uses holistic approach in provision of care by recognizing and incorporating cultural, spiritual, gender, race, ethnicity, lifestyle, socioeconomic, age, and values differences.
Fosters patient learning to promote self‑care using formal and informal processes.
Properly conducts pre/post procedure screening, supports student educational programs, invests quality time onboarding new employees, stays current on technology protocols and advances.
Provides and validates safety checks and screening processes, ensuring right patient/right exam/right order. Performs red rules to ensure right patient/right exam/right order.
Demonstrates care behaviors, accountability, and responsiveness, establishing a positive and supportive team member environment.
Supports organizational and department business objectives by providing standardized, evidence‑based care that contributes to optimal outcomes.
Qualifications
ARRT certified.
Current NM Computed Tomography License (NMCT) or NM Computed Tomography Provisional License (NMPCT).
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
Associate Degree or higher in Radiologic Technology or related field.
