RN 3E Progressive Care FT Days role at CommonSpirit Health. This position is accountable for daily patient care operations in the assigned department, under the direction of the Nurse Manager on assigned shifts. Maintains clinical standards of care, labor productivity, supervision of the patient care environment, and supports the care team. Directs patient throughput activities in the unit and maintains evidence-based nursing practices to achieve desirable patient outcomes in accordance with the Kentucky Nurse Practice Act. Responsibilities
Provides direct supervision of personnel on Nursing Units, makes patient care assignments, evaluates assignments, facilitates patient throughput, and directly observes staff performance on the shift. Proactively matches resources to provide patient care that supports staff and maintains a therapeutic environment. Monitors productivity and ensures staffing and resources align with patient care needs. Communicates personnel-related concerns to the Unit Manager. Uses a logical, systematic approach to problems and problem-solving. Facilitates Patient Experience best practices on the unit (hourly rounding, etc.). Maintains Unit Professional standards and holds staff accountable for behaviors and attitudes. Maintains confidentiality of department information and assists in audits and data collection as requested. Contributes to efficient operation of the department. Performs direct patient care and accepts an assigned group of patients as needed. Job Requirements
Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program Active Registered Nurse Licensure in Kentucky (KY) or eNLC licensure with multistate privileges in good standing Basic Life Support (BLS) Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) Previous nursing experience in Med/Surg, Telemetry, Cardiac, Emergency, or Critical Care service lines Where You'll Work
