Assistant Nurse Manager, Labor and Delivery FT Days 12hr — Kaiser Permanente Role facilitates implementation of best practice models, patient care delivery systems and practice standards across locations; supports investigations into patient care concerns; collaborates with physicians and health care team members to achieve optimal and safe patient care; allocates resources in assigned clinical areas; supervises equipment, supplies and medications; maintains a safe environment for patients and staff; maintains clinical expertise and provides supervision, competency and licensing as needed; delegates tasks aligned to scope of practice; performs clinical duties as required. Responsibilities

Recommend developmental opportunities for others; build collaborative relationships; provide feedback and mentorship; drive performance improvement; support professional growth and training; implement and adapt organizational changes; foster open dialogue and motivate team members; delegate tasks with appropriate support and scope. Supervise and coordinate daily activities of designated work team or unit; monitor execution of action items; ensure policies and procedures are followed; align team efforts with standards; develop work plans to meet business priorities; coordinate resources; remove obstacles and identify improvement opportunities; influence teams to achieve operational objectives. Supervise hospital administrative functions to support patient care; facilitate team meetings; manage utilization and productivity; collect, interpret, and act on data; supervise cross-functional activities including workplace safety, labor relations, and quality/risk management; maintain survey readiness and deliver audit documentation; ensure budget targets are met through staffing and patient placement decisions. Manage care delivery operations in a 24/7 environment; support large and complex work streams; supervise data collection to inform plans; coordinate daily operational activities; supervise multidisciplinary teams and ensure performance; implement emergency preparedness programs; ensure staff are trained and understand expectations during and after an emergency; coach teams to deliver nursing services and patient care aligned with cost, quality and utilization standards. Oversee improvements to operations and technology processes; lead cross-functional teams on strategic projects; address quality and safety issues; monitor strategic plans and performance metrics to ensure integrated services across the continuum of care. Ensure safe, high-quality, standardized care delivery; monitor quality and safety of clinical practices, services, and operations; ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements; contribute to system design and improvement of patient care across the continuum. Minimum Qualifications

Minimum two (2) years of experience in patient care delivery. Associates degree in Business, Nursing, Health Care, or related field AND minimum two (2) years of experience in business operations, clinical health care, or related field OR minimum three (3) years of experience in business operations, clinical health care, or related field. Minimum one (1) year of experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports. Registered Nurse License (California) required at hire. Basic Life Support required at hire.
