Overview
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of medical emergencies, including but not limited to cardiac issues, respiratory distress, neurological events, gastrointestinal issues, and musculoskeletal injuries. Conduct thorough patient assessments, develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals, administer medications and procedures, monitor patient responses, educate patients and families, and maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical records. Collaborate effectively with other members of the healthcare team, adhere to hospital policies and infection control and safety protocols, and participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals. Administer medications, perform procedures, and monitor patient responses to treatment. Educate patients and families about their condition, treatment plan, and discharge instructions. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in electronic medical records. Collaborate effectively with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, technicians, and support staff. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including infection control and safety protocols. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities. Job Requirements
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred. Minimum 6 months of RN experience required. Previous Emergency or Critical Care experience within the last 2 years preferred. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse issued by the Washington State Board of Nursing. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification within sixty days of hire, maintained thereafter. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Location-specific requirements may include quarterly Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. Completion of NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Provider) class within twelve months of hire where applicable, maintained thereafter. Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum (TNCC) within twelve months of hire, maintained thereafter. NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification within six months of hire, maintained thereafter. ENPC or PALS certification within twelve months of hire, maintained thereafter. NRP and/or CEN certification is preferred. Where You'll Work
