The Port Orchard Freestanding ED is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at our state-of-the-art free-standing emergency room. Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of medical emergencies, including but not limited to: cardiac issues, respiratory distress, neurological events, gastrointestinal issues, and musculoskeletal injuries. Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history, and physical examination. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals. Administer medications, perform procedures, and monitor patient responses to treatment. Educate patients and families about their condition, treatment plan, and discharge instructions. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in electronic medical records. Collaborate effectively with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, technicians, and support staff. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including infection control and safety protocols. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities. Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred Minimum 6 months previous RN experience required Previous Emergency experience or Critical Care experience within the last 2 years preferred Current licensure as a Registered Nurse issued by the Washington State Board of Nursing Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification within sixty days of hire, and maintained as current thereafter Current BLS Certification from the American Heart Association; quarterly RQI competency certification post-hire is required at this location Completion of a NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Provider) class within twelve months of date of hire (if applicable to site) and maintain as current Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum (TNCC) within twelve months of date of hire and maintain current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification within six months of date of hire and maintain current Emergency Nurse Pediatric Certification (ENPC) OR Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within twelve months of date of hire and maintain current NRP and/or Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certification is preferred Pay Range
$42.43 - $71.67 /hour Employment type
