Job Title: CT Technologist Department – CT Scan Summary: This position requires the application of precise positioning techniques with accurate settings of technical factors and monitoring of equipment to ensure proper functioning. Responsibilities
Produce high quality computed tomography exams with images of optimum diagnostic quality according to department procedures and maintain professional patient care. Maintain constant mental attention during studies and apply proper sterile technique. Demonstrate the capability to maintain effective and cooperative working relationships consistent with the Holy Cross Health’s Mission. Operate imaging equipment and take images of designated body areas under the supervision of the Radiologist. Support the mission philosophy and policies of Holy Cross Health Systems and the Medical Imaging Department. Maintain confidentiality of patient and organization information. Adhere to standard precautions. Complete annual mandatory training, in-services, competency documentation, and departmental requirements. Identify care needs of patients and implement interventions using equipment to meet the needs of the patient population served (neonates to late adults). Participate in team/committee activities, quality assessment, and improvement programs. Attend departmental staff meetings and assist in orientation of new staff. Complete other duties as assigned (on-call, transporting patients, cleaning rooms, stocking supplies, peer review, etc.) and participate in team efforts across modalities. Graduate of a JRC/ERT approved Radiologic Technology Program Reads, writes, speaks, and comprehends English One-year CT Scan experience preferred Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) – CT (R) preferred Maryland State licensure as a Radiographer CPR Certification - American Heart Association Registered Computed Tomography (CT) (R) preferred OR NMTCB certification with post-primary (ARRT) CT and MD State Licensure Documentation to practice on dedicated CT scanner and MD Board of Physicians approval Pay Range: $37.18 – $55.77 per hour. Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under FLSA will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. Pay range may vary by location. About Us
