Oncology Nurse Practitioner Job with Trinity Health in Boise, ID Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) seeks a full-time Oncology Advanced Practice Provider to work in outpatient oncology and benign hematology at the Saint Alphonsus Cancer Institute. This position will provide primary support in the Boise Cancer Institute. The schedule is 4 days/week in a clinic setting with Wednesdays off.

In collaboration with physicians of the Cancer Institute, the provider will offer high-level independent services to patients within the Cancer Program. Responsibilities include assessment, management of follow-up patients, triage and resolution including add-on patients and infusion room complications, laboratory follow-up, and oversight of chemotherapy administration at all program sites within the scope of practice. The provider will participate in the new patient consultation process and support integrative medicine services. Compliance with standards of care and practice is required in accordance with all established policies, procedures, and guidelines used in the medical treatment facility, with timely consultation or referral to appropriate physicians, clinics, or other health resources as indicated.

Responsibilities

Assess and manage new and follow-up oncology and benign hematology patients in the outpatient setting.

Provide triage and resolution for add-on patients and infusion room complications.

Oversee laboratory follow-up and chemotherapy administration within scope of practice.

Participate in new patient consultations and support integrative medicine services.

Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and guidelines; coordinate timely referrals as needed.

Requirements

Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license in Oregon and Idaho; valid controlled substance registration with Idaho; Board of Pharmacy and DEA (and eventual registration with Oregon).

NP: Master’s degree and certification via AANP or ANCC.

PA: Master’s degree and NCCPA certification (PA-C).

Strong medical background and a desire to develop a practice to support a growing multi-specialty medical group; oncology or internal medicine experience is preferred.
