We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to perform Disability Assessments for United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process. The role is IN-PERSON and focuses on Independent Medical Assessments.
The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant does not make disability determinations or provide treatment or prescription medications for this role.
Responsibilities
Review medical records electronically through a web portal.
Perform a focused, in-person physical exam on each Veteran.
Electronically document exam findings required by the VA through the web portal.
Perform Disability Assessments on 3-5 Veterans per day.
Schedule
Monday & Wednesday: 8:30am–4:30pm
Friday: 8:30am–12:00pm
Requirements
Must hold a current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license (NCCPA accredited).
Meets the credentialing requirements set forth by the VA.
Proficient computer skills and ability to work with a web-based portal.
