Our 4100 Cardiac Telemetry/Renal Unit performs peritoneal dialysis. The unit population includes complex patients with conditions such as CHF, ESRD, cardiac arrhythmia, acute coronary syndrome, and multiple other comorbidities. As an RN, you will deliver exceptional care throughout the patient care journey, interact directly with patients and their families, and provide healthcare education as needed. Details and Schedule
RN work hours: days from 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, including every other weekend and 3 holidays per year. ONA bidding period: 08/22/25 to 08/26/25. Responsibilities
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for a given patient population. Complete ongoing assessments, recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately. Develop and update goals, involve patients and families in plans of care, coordinate the interdisciplinary plan of care, and serve as a patient advocate. Provide nursing care, administer treatments and medication, and document. Participate in ongoing interdisciplinary evaluation of patient/family outcomes, contribute to care improvement and participate in the quality improvement process. Delegate tasks/assignments, serve as a resource, pursue ongoing education and specialty certifications, maintain applicable certification/licensure, and obtain any unit-specific certifications. Qualifications
Minimum qualifications: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program) Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association Preferred qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Physical and Safety Requirements
Requires full range of body motion including lifting and handling patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extended periods. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours. Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids. Medium to heavy physical work; capable of moving objects with force as specified (20-50 lbs occasionally, 10-25 lbs frequently, up to 10 lbs constantly).
